Gregory fell in love with the piano ever since he first began playing at age 4. Diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma at 14, chemotherapy caused such severe nerve damage in his hands that he could barely play a scale. Devastated by the thought he may never be able to play again, Gregory composed his 1st piece, "Espoir" (Hope) during the period of struggle to beat the odds of permanent nerve damage.
